Venezuelan Bolívar (VEF, VEN, VE) and Petro
The difference between VEF and VEB: The Venezuelan Bolívar (VEB) is old one. It was replaced with the Venezuelan bolívar fuerte (VEF) on January 1, 2008. The Venezuelan Bolivar Fuerte is the currency in Venezuela (VE, VEN).  

In December, 2017, Venezuela has launched a digital currency called the “petro” and backed by Venezuelan reserves of gold, oil, gas, and diamonds.
